Refreshing Fresh Mint Tea (Culinary Recipe)
Prep time: 5 minutes | Yield: 2 cups
Ingredients:
1 small handful fresh mint leaves (spearmint or peppermint)
2 cups boiling water
Lemon slice or 1 tsp raw honey (optional)
Instructions:
1. Rinse the fresh mint leaves under cool water and gently bruise them between your fingers to release their essential oils.
2. Place the mint leaves into a teapot or large mug.
3. Pour boiling water directly over the leaves.
4. Let steep for 5 to 7 minutes depending on desired strength.
5. Strain out the leaves, add lemon or honey if desired, and enjoy warm (or pour over ice for iced mint tea).
