How to Prevent and Eliminate Drain Roaches
Use Mesh Drain Covers: Place fine mesh strainers over all sink drains, especially overnight when cockroaches are most active.
Keep Drains Clean: Pour a mixture of 1/2 cup baking soda followed by 1 cup white vinegar down the drain, let it fizz for 15 minutes, and flush with boiling water to break down organic buildup.
Fix Leaks and Eliminate Standing Water: Wipe your sinks completely dry before bed and repair any dripping faucets or leaky pipes under the cabinet.
Run Unused Sinks: Periodically run water down basement, guest room, or utility sinks to ensure the P-trap stays filled with water.
