This refreshing, frosted beverage is made by blending fresh citrus juice, sweetened condensed milk, and ice until thick and frothy.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
Citrus juice: 1 \text{ cup} fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice (about 4–5 large lemons or 5–6 limes)
Sweetened condensed milk: 1 \text{ can} (14 oz / 397 g)
Cold water: \frac{1}{2} \text{ cup}
Ice: 5 \text{ to } 6 \text{ cups} ice cubes
Citrus zest: 1 \text{ tbsp} finely grated lemon or lime zest (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions
1. Combine ingredients: Add the water, fresh citrus juice, sweetened condensed milk, zest (if using), and ice cubes into a high-speed blender in that order.
2. Blend: Secure the lid and blend on high for 30–45 seconds until the ice is completely crushed and the mixture becomes smooth, thick, and frothy.
3. Adjust texture: If the drink is too thick, add a splash of cold water and pulse. If it is too thin, add an extra cup of ice and blend again.
4. Serve: Pour directly into a glass pitcher or chilled serving glasses. Garnish with fresh citrus slices and enjoy immediately.
