 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

 1 cup applesauce (unsweetened)

 3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil

 2 large eggs

 1 tsp baking soda

 1/2 tsp baking powder

 1 tsp ground cinnamon

 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

 1/4 tsp ground cloves

 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a standard 8×4-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, applesauce, oil, and vanilla extract until completely smooth and combined.

3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

4. Combine: Pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and gently stir with a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.

5. Bake: Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. Cool & Serve: Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
